Audi has given the A7 Sportback a small facelift and now has focused on updating the five-door coupe’s looks, retuning its engine and to offer new technology. The highest spec S7 Sportback will get its first refresh since its launch in 2010.The refresh includes Audi’s more angular Single frame grille and aggressive squared-off front and rear bumpers. The LED technology comes as standard now with an option of Matrix LED headlights designed to maximize visibility by reducing glare for oncoming vehicles.

The interior now gets a choice of five colour options that is also available in seats and new interior materials, for example an aluminium and Beaufort walnut inlay alongside Valcona leather. The new Audi A7 and S7 also features a revised top of the range infotainment system. It’s called MMI Navigation plus with MMI touch and includes a Nvidia-developed graphics processes and is mated to Audi connect which connects the car to the internet via LTE high-speed internet. To cap this entire up, Audi also has a phone box to improve mobile reception via the antenna and a Bang & Olufsen sound system is also available.

Under the hood there is a choice of slightly tweaked three diesel engines and one petrol unit for the UK. The 3.0-litre TDI BiTurbo will once again get its power down via an eight-speed triptronic transmission, while all other engines are mated with seven-speed S tronic gearbox. The range-topping 4.0 TFSI petrol engine will be carried over as well for the S7 Sportback. The chassis have been tweaked as well as new lightweight brakes to shed weight. A Multitronic system has been replaced for the dual-clutch transmission in front-wheel drive variants.

The facelifted Audi A7 will be available in showrooms late this summer and prices will be announced later in the year.
