Toyota’s luxury division – Lexus has announced its prices for the new NX as the six-model line-up starts from £29,945 for the entry level model and rising to £42,995 for the highest spec model. The Lexus NX is the Japanese manufacturers’ first array in to the mid-size SV market, currently conquered by the likes of the Audi Q5 and BMW X3. The order books are open now with the first NX will arrive in showrooms in October this year.
At the beginning only the NX 300h will be available, equipped with a 195bhp hybrid powertrain mated to a 2.5 litre petrol engine and electric motor. In March 2015, a new NX 200t will be added to the range and will feature the brand new 235bhp 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine. However, this engine will only be fitted to the top of the range F Sport trim. Pricing for the NX 200t will be announced later this year.
There will be five trim options available S, SE, Luxury, F Sport and Premier. Entry-level S (£29,945) features kit such as 17-inch alloys, LED headlights, dual-zone climate control, DAB radio, media display with remote touch controller and an eight-speaker audio system. More premium Luxury specification adds privacy glass, parking sensors, LED fog lamps and keyless entry.
F Sport trim gets two-tone 18-inch alloys, F Sport suspension and dampers, electrically adjusted steering column, power tailgate and wireless smartphone charger. The range topping Premier spec adds head-up display, 360-degree panoramic view, lane keep assist, driver’s seat memory position and heated steering wheel.
Lexus Navigation is available as a £995 option on all S, SE, Luxury and F Sport models, with the more advanced Lexus Premium Navigation system additionally offered for F Sport variants.
