Ford Tranist 2014 is Just Awesome

Global vehicle sales are expected to jump extensively over the next number of years and Ford’s all new 2014 Transit Connect cargo van is set to provide prudent commercial fleets and small business owners unrivalled fuel economy and adaptability in the expanding commercial vehicle market. The Transit has been redesigned from the ground up for 2014, it can be easily said that Ford Transit Connect drives and parks like a car, hauls more payload many full-size pickup trucks and delivers fuel efficiency unparalleled by any other commercial vehicle in Europe today.

The all-new Transit has a vast maximum load area of up to 15.1m3 and the flexibility to stow items up to 4.2m long with standard bulkhead in place. There’s also a maximum trailer plate of up to 3.5 T. The compact Ford van offers consumers a choice between two fuel-efficient four-cylinder engines a standard 2.5L and an optional 1.6L EcoBoost prime mover. Both engines are mated to an efficient 6F35 six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission, geared for around-town responsiveness and low-rpm motorway cruising.

This clever van’s cargo-carrying and payload capabilities are based on its high-strength body and tried and true suspension hardware. An independent MacPherson strut suspension with stabilizer bar is up front, with a twist-beam suspension and stabilizer bar at the rear. The Transit Connect cargo van is available with or without second-row seating, and offers useful options like rear view camera, 6.5-inch touch-screen display with navigation, and SYNC with MyFord Touch. The standard Van is equipped with a 2.5-litre Duratec engine, Transit Connect returns a fuel economy far and above the competitors that share its category. The 2014 Transit Connect is the first of its type to offer an available EcoBoost engine, delivering best-in-class horsepower, torque and fuel economy.
